Election of SI Officers and Committees
One of the important tasks of the General Assembly is the election of SI Officers and Committees.
Elections consists of voting for six members of the SI Executive Committee (Exco), a Distant Vote Administrator and members for the four committees:
- Development Committee
- Youth and Families Committee
- Conflict Resolution Committee
- Internal Audit Committee
- Pending result of vote on motion SIGA25MOT20: Servas Statutes and Rules Committee (Outcome 9 Oct 2025: nominations to take place after the SIGA and election was referred to a later Distant Vote)

Election timetable
Elections take place during the SIGA sessions. The timetable for elections will be included in the SICOGA 2025 Timetable once it has been finalised and published.
The online elections will open on 7 October and close on 8 October 2025.
How to vote in elections
Delegates will cast their votes using links to online voting forms. Delegates will receive an email notification. The online voting means that a registered delegate can vote from any location and does not have to be present at the SIGA. They do, however, have to be on time.
In case you can’t attend the GA personally, you can apply for a proxy to vote on your behalf. Read about it in the Proxy Procedure and apply in the form.

The candidates will be listed in this overview along with links to the forms they have filled in to present themselves. If the link is inactive their candidacy isn't valid yet. Delegates (and their helpers) can use the overview to review the candidates and decide whom to vote for.
Candidates for appointed positions are also listed for transparency.
