Promoting youth engagement
As the Servas International (SI) Youth and Families Committee, we prioritise cultivating global connections among young Servas members. Through initiatives like the Servas Youth Language Experience (SYLE) programme, we provide a platform for young people worldwide to learn about each other's cultures and languages.
We serve as the central hub for youth-related projects and events within Servas. Our responsibilities include overseeing the allocation of resources, including budget planning, to support these initiatives and ensure their success. We also provide support for regional Servas Youth Groups of which there are many around the world.
Youth conferences
One of our flagship events is the Youth Conferences, where young Servas members converge to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and build lasting friendships. These conferences are carefully planned in collaboration with local contacts, ensuring that young people from different regions have opportunities for fun and cultural exchange.
Encouraging active participation
We encourage all young Servas members to actively engage with us and participate in these enriching activities. By connecting, sharing experiences, and learning from one another, we embody the mission and values of Servas, nurturing peace through meaningful connections.
Two videos produced by Servas youth members
Open your doors and open your mind to the world! Join us in this awesome experience. This video was made in 2014 by a group of young members from Argentina and Chile. It's still worth viewing today.
What is Servas for you? Video recorded during a Servas Youth Meeting in Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal in 2018.
