Global hospitality at home
Welcome to the world of Servas hosting, where your home becomes a gateway to cultural exploration and connection. Hosting Servas members isn't just about providing a place to stay – it's about opening your doors to a world of diversity and discovery.
As a Servas host, you have the opportunity to interact with people from all corners of the globe, each with their own unique stories, traditions, and perspectives. Servas travellers usually stay with a host for two days, time enough to share meals, swap travel tales, or explore your local area together. Hosts are free to offer longer stays if they wish.
If you are unable to offer accommodation, you can offer to be a dayhost, and some travellers prefer this option. You may be happy to welcome visitors in your home for a meal, even if you cannot offer them a bed. Or you may prefer to meet them outside your home, to accompany them for a walk in your local area, meet up for a chat over a coffee, or invite them to join in some local activity or attend an event with you.
Host or dayhost, every encounter is an opportunity to broaden your horizons and enrich your understanding of the world in return for your hospitality and support.

Joining a global community
One of the most rewarding aspects of hosting with Servas is the sense of community it fosters. As part of a global network of hosts and travellers, you'll join a diverse community united by a shared passion for exploration, understanding, and friendship. Together, we create a world where borders fade and humanity shines through, one heartfelt interaction at a time.
Information for hosts
As a Servas host, you do not charge your guests to stay with you in your home – there are many other benefits. However, while offering hospitality to other Servas members, you do have some rights and responsibilities.
We have compiled a page of guidance for hosts that explains in detail requirements such as keeping your profile up to date, responding to requests to stay, providing suitable accommodation for your guests, and what you can expect from a Servas traveller in return.
