2012 Servas International General Assembly in Poland - August 2012 Getting Connected / Conectarse / Connectons-nous Every three years, Servas International holds a General Assembly (GA). At the GA, one delegate represents each of the member countries to vote on Servas International decisions. In many ways it is similar to a United Nations meeting. This is an official announcement that the 2012 GA will be held August 18-25 in Poland, in the beautiful Mazury region. Attendees are asked to arrive in Warsaw or Gdansk the day before if they want to use the group transportation arranged to reach the conference site on Saturday, August 18. Participants depart the conference site about mid-day on 25 August 2012. In addition to elections of Servas International officers and committee members, approval of a budget for the next 3 years, and other necessary administrative decisions, there will be workshops and peace sessions that are open to delegates and non-delegates. This is an opportunity for everyone to actively contribute to the shaping of Servas for the future. Registration is at GA12.servas.org . Information about the GA can be found at http://www.servas.org/siexco/index.php/General_Assembly_2012 . The conference registration fee is 425 Euros, including food and accommodation. The timing has been chosen to be close to the dates of the Servas Youth Meeting, and also to avoid conflict with the attractive programme offered in early June by Servas Netherlands.
