Carnival (Karneval) Munster, Germany Munster is a city famed for its spectacular carnival celebrations. The Rosenmontag Parade, on the Monday before Ash Wednesday, represents the climax with carnival floats and bands parading through the streets. A party atmosphere fills the town, aided and abetted by numerous carnival societies from Munster and its surroundings. There is also a big contingent from Holland, and Dutch revellers often make up about a quarter of the parade. Additional entertainment comes from fairground rides, booths and live music performances around the periphery of the parade. During the carnival period, most of the pubs in the town are filled to capacity Themes: Entertainment , Dance , Kids' Stuff , Spectacle , Music
